The Bear & The Doll
The bear was my (and many dancers’) first role on stage with the main company,” said Principal Jordan Veit. “But it can be terrifying. You have no peripheral vision, it has complicated choreography, and of course, it is hot in there.”
Dancers use the quarter marks along the front of the stage to know where they are, but they still have to interact with the doll and children from the party scene, so the stage gets very full. “As soon as the head comes off, wardrobe is there to give you water and help you out of the suit. It is all very exciting,” said Veit.
