Toy Soldiers
The previous production put the toy soldiers in red and blue uniforms for their battle with the mice, but for the 2017 design, Former Director of Costume Production David Heuvel wanted to return to the time period of e.t.a. Hoffmann’s original story. The current costumes are inspired by the uniforms of the French and Russian soldiers during the Napoleonic Wars.
